Dennie Palmer Wolf Interview on Research on Carnegie Hall’s Lullaby Project

New research shows just how powerful music can be in early childhood development! In The 74 Million’s piece “Singing to Your Baby May Matter More Than You Think,” music isn’t just joyful, it supports executive function, motor skills, language development, social-emotional growth, and more.

We’re proud that our own Dennie Wolf and our work at WolfBrown for Carnegie Hall‘s Lullaby Project are part of the research conversation behind these findings, including insights into how music supports healthy development and nurturing caregiver–child relationships.

Dennie shares, “[Music] can potentially give parents a sense of being effective or capable,” she said. “It’s a source of strength and resilience, in a world that takes that away, grinds it down.”
