Chesapeake Region 2012 Coalition

When Washington and Baltimore began developing a bid for the Summer Olympics of 2012, they turned to WolfBrown for assistance with cultural dimensions of the document — a sense of what the Chesapeake region could bring to the four-year run-up of cultural festivities that always precede the Games, the all-important opening and closing ceremonies, and the legacy programs that keep the Olympic spirit alive once the Games conclude. Consultants interviewed a wide range of individuals from area organizations, and facilitated a meeting to hone in on the best ideas they had to offer. Then they drafted sections of the bid document, describing possible celebrations, programs, and artistic competitions to complement the sports events.
