Long Wharf Theatre
Long known as one of America’s leading regional theatres, Long Wharf Theatre has relied on WolfBrown for a variety of research and planning needs over the years. As part of a larger effort to study the feasibility of moving the theater into new facilities in downtown New Haven, Long Wharf commissioned a substantial study of its audience, including an analysis of customer data, a large survey of ticket buyers, a competitive analysis, and a study of demand for live theater in five comparable markets. The study yielded a high level critical analysis of the theatre’s position in the marketplace and its strategy alternatives. Subsequently, Long Wharf engaged WolfBrown to conduct a Public Value Audit, a deep analysis of how the theatre creates value for its various stakeholder groups, and a survey of ticket buyers related to parking and location issues.
