WolfBrown's strategic planning process for Wells College focused on three key issues: the feasibility of the College's continued existence as a women's institution, the recruitment and retention of students, and an evaluation of its current and future fund-raising potential. The subsequent report detailed the factors that would impact the decision to remain a women's only college and provided a comprehensive comparative analysis of how competitive institutions approached the problem. Several alternative visions for the future of the college were proposed for evaluation by a new President, and the report outlined an extensive plan for attracting the funding necessary to support a new strategic plan.
