Saint Louis Zoo
The Saint Louis Zoo is one of America's top-rated visitor attractions as well as a world-wide leader in conservation. In 2005, the Zoo began a two-year planning process led by WolfBrown consultants. There were several challenges and opportunities - to develop a long-range (25 year) vision for the institution while addressing current needs; to balance the Zoo's popularity as a visitor destination (3 million visitors annually) with its conservation activities on five continents; to reconceptualize its historic campus; and to prepare the case for a major capital campaign. Working with numerous groups internally and externally, the consultants helped fashion a plan that spoke compellingly both to the Zoo's local and to its international constituents.
