New England Foundation for the Arts
Over a period of several years, consultants from WolfBrown have provided a range of services to NEFA as the foundation has sought to respond to internal and external changes. The consultants conducted an executive search for a new director; guided a strategic planning process; and provided development counsel and support that led to funding of a multi-million dollar dance touring partnership, "The National Dance Project." The planning process restructured and repositioned the foundation to seize opportunities in an environment of shifting financial resources. WolfBrown continues to work closely with NEFA, both in ongoing organizational and fund-raising strategy development, and in the preparation of proposal materials that have secured significant resources. Most recently, WolfBrown has helped NEFA to articulate and evaluate long-term strategies for sustained support of dance creation and distribution.

Leadership Transition
In anticipation of a planned leadership change at the New England Foundation for the Arts, the chair of NEFA's board called on WolfBrown to assist in devising an orderly transition process. The recommendations of WolfBrown resulted in the new executive director being given the overwhelming support of the board and staff, in a "no surprises" relationship between the new executive and established donors and partners, and in a residual collaboration between the previous and new executives that benefited both of their organizations.
