Research for Action
WolfBrown worked with Research for Action, a nonprofit education research organization, to develop long-term plans for founder transition, capacity building, and organizational sustainability. In a process that actively engaged the board to build capacity for organizational leadership, WolfBrown conducted both internal and external interviews and several meetings of the board and executive committee, as well as a day-long board/staff retreat. The board members themselves conducted comparable research, looking at other organizations that might be models or partners for RFA in the future. As series of memoranda moved the process along at each step. WolfBrown's involvement in the planning effort culminated with a series of coaching telephone calls over a period of months to launch RFA into the implementation phase of its sustainability strategy.
