CLIENT CASE STUDIES
Cary, North Carolina
Cary is a fast-growing town in the Durham/Raleigh Research Triangle area of North Carolina. With a population of over 100,000, it needed to pay attention to residents’ concerns about a lack of infrastructure for arts and cultural activities in the Town. WolfBrown contracted with the Town to conduct a cultural facilities masterplan as part of the Town’s Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Facilities master planning process.
WolfBrown conducted a needs assessment, gauged residents’ levels of interest in various participatory activities, provided comparable research, and worked with Town staff to assessment existing usage patterns. The process was overseen by a community-based Steering Committee and was coordinated by the Town’s senior planning staff as well as the director of the Department of Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Resources.
