WolfBrown undertook a community cultural plan for the city of Tacoma, Washington, which strove to link the arts and historic preservation to the many assets of Tacoma and its region. Tacoma boasts a wealth of cultural organizations, a network of parks that provide cultural activities year-round, an active waterfront, a growing range of ethnic populations, and a low cost of living in a less urbanized environment. The plan suggested an approach to integrate arts, natural resources, architecture, community amenities, multiculturalism, social services for youth, and more into these and other strengths of the region. The plan also included the widest possible array of subjects and community issues to insure the greatest impact.
